The Sower’s Cup: It’s Almost Here!

The tenth edition of our annual regional comp starts soon with sorting and labeling the more-than-400 entries (Thursday, Sept. 19) and ends with several judging sessions and The Sower’s Pup (Saturday, Sept. 28). We’re still looking for a few more volunteers. This is a big event and you don’t want to miss it! Check back here and on the Sower’s Cup tab on this site.

This Thursday: Entry Sorting!

We have done a lot of good work receiving and sorting entries for the Sower’s Cup next week and now we would like to invite everyone down to Jakes/Beercade Jr. to help us label everything. We will be congregating at Jake’s this Thursday, Sept. 19, at 6 p.m. Don’t worry if you’ve never done it before… It’s pretty straightforward and we’ll be there to help talk you through it.

Oh, and if you wear glasses or cheaters, you may want to bring them along. The printing on those labels can be pretty small.

The Sower’s Pup! A Benefit for The Farm: Senior Dog Sanctuary

It will be a fun-filled evening of tasting at the IBEW Local 265. Yes! At the Sower’s Cup (Saturday, Sept. 28, 5-7 p.m.) we’ll be tasting the second bottles and raising some funds for The Farm: Senior Dog Sanctuary. Everyone is invited to join in on the sampling. Your $20 donation includes competition tastings and local brewery sampling. Get your tickets here. In addition, Meta Modern BBQ and Rutabegas will be on site for tasty treats.
