Update: August 11th, 2024

Requirements for Bottled Entries

For each entry you submit, we require two 12-oz bottles of your beer, mead or cider.

Please note: If you wish to enter the same batch of beer in a regular base style and also in this year’s Specialty Category (see details below), we will require four 12-oz. bottles total. These two categories will be judged separately, possibly at different times; therefore, please send two bottles for each entry, registered separately.

Extra bottles are not required for categories with “Scale-Up contests,” as the specialty entry tasting will take place at the same time as Best of Show judging, and the same entry bottle will be shared between both judging tables.

Bottles should be free of any identifying information (no stickers, handwriting, labels, etc.). Bottles with raised embossing (e.g., Sam Adams, etc.) are permitted. Gold, silver or black caps are preferred, but colored caps will not be disqualified. If your caps have any kind of lettering or design, please black them out completely with permanent black ink.

Entry Categories

We are accepting entries in all categories — Beer, Cider and Mead — using the 2021 BJCP Beer, Mead, and Cider style guidelines.

In 2024, we will provide feedback using standard BJCP scoresheets. We are planning for all electronic scoring.

Regular Categories

Each brewer may submit only ONE entry per sub-category in any category.

You may enter as many sub-categories as you would like.

2024 Specialty Category: 10 for 10: Ten Percent ABV for the Tenth Anniversary!

That’s right! TEN! X! One-oh! It’s our tenth anniversary for this competition. Therefore, we are offering a special category for beers that have at least 10% ABV. Oh, yeah… You can have more, but these brews will start out at 10.
