Next month’s Lincoln Lagers’ meeting will be at 7 o’clock at the Brick Top on Thursday, Octobeer 7th. See you then!

The June meeting is now set for Thursday, June 3rd, at Misty’s Steakhouse & Brewery. Meeting to start at 7 pm. Not sure how much of a secret it is anymore… the Modern Monks have taken over the brewing operation. Two MM brews are available and two more are in the fermenters and should be available by meeting time.

Misty’s is located in the Crane River restaurant – an early meeting place to the Lincoln Lagers. So, this will be a nostalgic return “home” for many in the club.

See you on June 3rd!

Challenge 2009

The next monthly meeting will take place at the home of Kim Theesen & Anita Jackson on Saturday, Decembeer 5, 1008 S. 32nd Street, 32nd and E.

The 6 o’clock meeting will feature the 2009 edition of the Lincoln Lager Challenge. Entries must be submitted by 6 o’clock (we’ll be ready by 5) with the comp starting shortly thereafter. Regular meeting, homebrew tasting, and general frivolity commence at 7 pm. And, yes, THE game will be on the tube. (Can we still call that squawk box a tube?)

Additional discussion and Challenge rules are in the forum. See you Saturday!

Lincoln Lager Jason McLaughlin took first place honors in the Brewers’ Choice of the Winter Warmer Beer Quest at Lazlo’s on Novembeer 15. Jason’s delicious chocolate stout also was BOS in the preliminary judging. Bob Catherall took fourth with his yummy espresso sweet stout. Complete results are posted above and related discussions are on the forum. The next Beer Quest will be “session ales” in February.

The fall tradition returns on Sunday, November 8th, at Doug Finke’s place. The plan is to build the best damn brown ale ever. Be part of history and join us. The six gallons of wort will be “around twenty dollars.” You add any other adjuncts, plus your own hops, and yeast. Contact Doug today and reserve your brew! Click on the graphic for more details in the LL Forum! We’ll also be having the monthly meeting in the afternoon after the Brew, probably around 3 pm. So, even if you’re not brewing, come on out and hang with the big brewers!
