Lincoln Lagers Calendar for July and August

Lincoln Lagers Social: Zipline Beer Hall, July 18, 2024

Stop out at Zipline’s Beer Hall (5740 Hidcote Dr, Suite B, Lincoln, NE 68516) on Thursday the 18th and have a pint or two with your fellow Lincoln Lagers. Bring a friend or two. Shoot for 6 o’clock. No agenda. Just beer. (Well, we may talk a little about the upcoming Nebraska Shootout, which takes place this next Sunday, but it’ll be mostly beer talk.)

Nebraska Shootout 2024 • Sunday, July 21 •  9:00 a.m.

The annual Nebraska homebrew club competition is scheduled for Sunday, July 21, at Lucky Bucket Brewing Co. in La Vista. Omaha’s Homebrewers Local 402 are this year’s hosting club. Internal club judging for the Shootout will take place on July 7 at Turbine Flats from 3-6 p.m.

Here are the categories and timeline for this year’s competition:

• Pale Malty European Lager (Category 4)
• Amber Malty European Lager (Category 6)
• Dark European Lager (Category 8)
• Pale Commonwealth (Category 12)
• Specialty Category – BJCP Local Styles (Provisional Style)
• Best Damn Beer (Custom Style)

Next Monthly Meeting: Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024 – Location: Code Beer Co.

Join us at Code Beer (200 S. Antelope Valley Parkway, Lincoln, NE) on Thursday, August 1, at 6:00 p.m. for the social hour and club business at 7:00 p.m. Sample some delicious Code brews.
