As far as what’s going, we’re looking at another Grain Giveaway. We had eight takers in the last run for the Nebraska Shootout – scheduled to take place in July. The next one will be for the Kegs for the Cure (KFTC). This is an event that’s raising money for the American Cancer Society. They’ve been going at it for ten years and this will be year #11. The club was quite active with the Okto Beerfest for many years and its quest to donate funds to the Nebraska Stroke Association. That event has run its course and we need to brew for a cause. Please consider getting some grain and brewing for the cure! KFTC founder Gordon Coke will be on board to talk about the event and get you the latest details on how you can contribute.

Let’s hope we can get back to the Happy Raven in June. I’m sure I speak for many when I say, “When this thing’s over, we’re going to need a beer.”
