very cool/interesting. I get motion/car sick VERY easily, so if I go I'll probably drive myself and form a convoy.

Crackers are the answer.

I have the same problem, have had it my entire life, I get car sick in pretty much *any* car unless I am the one driving it. My wife has to put up with me driving her everywhere because I turn sickly green after about 6 blocks of riding with another driver, even her (sorry honey).

However every year in High School I managed to make it on the orchestra bus trip, on these same coach busses, and I survived it by bringing a pack of Club crackers to nibble on, and staying in one of the front-most aisles from where I could see the road.

I would also note that our bus will have homebrew :beer2: on it, which at least for me, improves my ability to ride without getting sick (provided I don't overindulge :P).

(I told Kim in an email, but I am still solidly in "potentially maybe" territory for the bus trip, am discussing it w/ my wife to see if it is in the cards this year.)

go ahead and count me as going on the bus trip, with a front row seat to be on the safe side. on the actual hiway, I should be fine, its the curves that tend to do me in.

The 2010 Lincoln Lagers Bus Trip
Here's a preview along with some misc. stuff to ponder.

THE TRIP:
8 am – 11:30 am Lincoln to Kansas City
Noon – 1:30 pm Blvd Brewery Tour - KC
2 pm – 4:30 pm Lunch at The Flying Saucer / Free time in the Power & Light District
4:30 pm Load up the bus
5 pm - 6 pm Shopping at Lukas Liquor Super Store
6:00 Load up the bus
6:30 pm to 10 pm KC to Lincoln
Note: Times are approximate.

THE COST: Club Members are $35, Non-Members are $45 (Note: Price includes tip for bus driver. Lunch and beverages at the Flying Saucer are at your own expense.)

THE SPONSORS: Door prizes courtesy of Moran's Liquor Works at 33rd & A Streets and Kirk's Homebrew Supplies.

MISC. STUFF:
- Bus leaves at 8 a.m. from Indian Village Parking Lot, (13th & Arapaho Streets, park at North End along High St.)
- We should have a 55-seat bus; we'll save five for beer. That makes 50 available. Our goal is to sell at least 40, no more than 50.
- Get your tickets from Kim T, Jason M, & David O
- Please bring some home-brew or micro/imported beer to share on the bus. :beer1:
- To keep this thing some what “green” – and to minimize expenses and trash—please bring along a sturdy drinking glass or mug. Plastic cups will be for sale for $5 a piece.
- Please bring some munchies along to share on the bus.
- Lunch and drinks at the Flying Saucer and in the P&L District will be at your expense. We’ll get some samples at the brewery.
- You must be at least 21 years of age.
- We’re taking nominations for movies for the in-flight entertainment.
- We're hoping to have a bunch of door prizes at each stop. If you have something beer related and you'd like to contribute to the prize vault, please let us know. So far, Moran’s will donate a couple of six-packs of microbrew and will also contribute some of their dollar-off coupons for the mix-n-match six packs.

Questions or comments? Post here or contact me or Jason M.

Roger and Jan are in for the bus trip to KC. Thanks for arranging guys. I won't be at the August LL meeting to pay for the trip. Let me know an alternate time to pay and I will.

Moran's Liquor Works -- 33rd & A Streets -- is in as one of our sponsors for the bus trip. They're donating a couple of mix-n-match six packs and a handful of dollar-off coupons. Thank you, Eric and Moran's!

I am in for one member ticket. :beer1:

If anyone from Northeast Lincoln is going, I could use a carpool ride to and from Indian Village shopping center, as my wife and I share one vehicle at the moment. PM me, email me, or call me (number in the member directory). Thanks!

Okay guys, I just talked to Karen who is the PR person for all the Lukas locations, and she could not have been nicer. She is sending me some gift certificates to raffle off on the bus, and she also said she would talk to her beer reps about setting up some tastings for us inside the store. She was not positive she could get that done on short notice, but it was her idea and she is giving it a shot. She was very excited to hear we were coming, so everyone plan on Lukas Liquors! :headbang:

Now THAT was a fun time! Sorry I ducked out so fast when we got back, but my proneness to motion sickness was finally catching up to me and I just wanted to crash.

I dumped all my photos from the trip on facebook, and tagged people I could make out.
