Sadly I won't be able to attend - I will instead be trapped at a wedding in Omaha. >_>

Here's the latest update for the picnic...

THE EVENT
- Family friendly, bring the dog, bring the kids. If you haven't yet renewed, you can still pay Schwimbo your membership fees for 2010. Show up any time after 4 o'clock.

THE FOOD
- Steve O is looking at cookin' some chickens this year, a whole bunch of chickens. Members would/should let him know if you're going to make it so the club would know how many chickens to buy and cook. The club will pay for the meat.

MEAD CONTEST
- Those of you who have some mead should plan to bring it for this annual tradition. The Lady Lagers will judge.

THE BEVERAGES
- Your homebrew, of course. Has the club bought some soda pop in the past?

Watch this thread for updates...

k.t.

I will not be there until 6:30-7 at the earliest, so don't worry about feeding me. Large T-shirt.

Looks like we have enough to get started with say 10 chickens as of now. Maybe we can also include say 5 lbs of burger and maybe 2 packs of hot dogs to please most every ones taste. What ever way we go the one most important thing that needs to be understood is when the food is gone it is gone! I would also like to remind everyone to bring a lawn chair. We do have a few chairs but so everyone has someplace to sit it would not be a bad idea to bring a chair for yourself. I will have the ability to tap 2 kegs through the tap box so if you want to bring a keg by all means do so but remember the first two get tapped and the others will wait. Feel free to bring a friend if you like since everyone is welcome for this annual lagers event. Kay and I are looking forward to seeing everyone and lets hope the weather is decent for the evening. Fun should be had by all in any case. :headbang:

p.s.
"DUB" :snoopy: I will save you some food if I have to go on a diet.

Shitty, Shit Shit. I'm going to be out of town. Shirts will be completed by my trustworthy staff though so don't worry boys.

I was wondering, however, if you folks would need Steve O's horseshoes and table from last years picnic? I have it in my garage but could set it out beside the garage while were out of town. We're flying out of the country on Thursday morning. Let me know and I can get these items set aside and an address to whomever wants to grab them for Steve.

Sorry about the timing on the picnic Jason, we planned on shaping some soybeans like chicken legs just for you. I can pick the stuff up today or tomorrow (took the rest of the week off), but I misplaced the card I had with your phone number and address. Call my cell (560-7094) if you see this or since I know J. Mc gets this stuff on his phone and he also has your number he can let me know. Have fun where ever your going and bring some good beer back if you can. :headbang:

Real funny SteveO. Real funny. Just for that, I'm gonna smear some cat poop on your horseshoes.

Looks like we're all squared away for pick up on these items so thanks for your help! Also, the shirts are shaping up nicely so you folks are in for a real treat.

I PM'd RevJC already...we chat on the homebrewtalk forums.

Would like to join the club and pay my dues, and attend Saturday's picnic to meet people.

Is that kosher with the officers?

P.S. - I have mead to bring.
